Valencia CF win at San Mamés and Anoeta in the same season for the first time in 15 seasons

Valencia CF achieved an important victory on Sunday afternoon against Real Sociedad in their visit to Anoeta. They also came out victorious in the match against Athletic Club at San Mamés, therefore, it is a combination that had not occurred in LaLiga since the 2010-11 and 2005-06 seasons.

Starting with the two most recent results, the Valencian side beat the txuri-urdin team at Anoeta by four goals to three (Javi Guerra x2, Hugo Duro and Guido Rodríguez); and against the ‘lions’ at San Mamés, the team won by one goal (Sadiq) in their 100th visit to ‘La Catedral’.

This coincidence in the Basque Country also happened in the 2010-11 season, in which Valencia CF achieved two victories: against Athletic Club (1-2), with goals from Mata and Jonas; against Real Sociedad (1-2), with goals from Tino Costa and Aduriz. Furthermore, the same happened in 2005-06: against the rojiblancos (0-3) with a David Villa hat-trick; against the side from San Sebastián (1-2) with a Mario Regueiro brace.
